The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency said it can be alarmed about the significant variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration sassa status check Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The service level established for intervention encounters a significant inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tough for that Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
